Comment about the Besut Boot Camp for Effeminate Boys

born in malaysia, yes i am, malaysia have many races and religion, and muslim is the main religion in the country, and the 66 boys is a muslim boys, they were there not to be torcher, but to be guided, they were not force to go there, but were invited, if you can prevent them from being one, why not prevent them, i dont know how gay people feel, but if you feel that you could make them from not becoming gay, why not? well i dont really care if someone becoming gay or not, its not matter, really, that just left me with more chick i guess, but i still concern, but try to imagine if all of the human being becoming gay? what would happen to this world? what would you do to reproduce? tube baby? uuuhhh...yes i am homophobic, you guys not believe in god, thats what you are, gay people are disgusting, period, if you feel that malaysia is a worse country, malaysia think gay guys are worse kind of people, yeah there gay in malaysia, and i never want to look at them..gay sucks,.

'sixty six sissies'

Comment from Rey Buono in The Malaysian Insider,

I miss Thailand and its tolerance.
What an ugly country Malaysia is!

Disturbing! Everytime Malaysia is on the front page of BBC News or The Telegraph, it is always for ugly reasons. Garbling the part "gay straight or bi, lesbian transgender life" in songs, never ending sodomy trials, intolerance towards Christians, idiocy...

---
Addendum

New Straits Times, please stop using the word 'Sissy'.

I am reminded of traumatic highschool experiences, cornered by a pack of masculine youth,
mocking laughter and finger-pointing -- "Ha ha! Pondan, sissy..."

Them knocking down the toilet cubicle and pulling me out,
because I didn't piss like a real man at the urinal...
(I have a shy bladder, I need to be in a toilet stall)

What's a limp wrist compared to other offensive things like:
A foul mouth, bullying, hate speech, corruption... to list just a few?

MALAYSIA TRULY ASIAN RIP-OFFS

Zeppelin S1 Chandelier by Marcel Wanders (2005), based on the Cocoon series of suspension lamps by the Castiglioni brothers in the 60s... (one brother designed the Arco, an UGLY MALAYSIANA favourite!) These are sculptural lamps with a 'normal chandelier shape' core sprayed with a 'cocoon' of resin... quite a haunting diffuser shape!

It is RM20,000+ if purchased from FLOS (I think, correct me if I'm wrong). For affluent readers who are interested in owning an ori one, you can go to XTRA in GARDENS Mid Valley to inquire — they are the official distributors in Malaysia. If you cannot afford it but macam interested in how it's made, you could look at a posh-looking video documentary thing in the shop itself... You may also touch one, provided your fingers are clean).

However, if you feel Malaysian and you want a TOUCH OF LUXE in your home but don't want to pay for design because design has no value because all your nieces are doing design these days in college since they couldn't go into science-stream, then:

UGLY MALAYSIANA is pleased to announce that the rip-offs have started emerging out of their cocoons of exclusivity~*~*~*~*~*

SPOTTED IN IPOH
DISCLAIMER: STRETCHY SYNTHETIC FABRIC IS USED
INSTEAD OF WHITE COCOONNY RESIN.

SPOTTED IN PWTC AS PART OF SOME HOME FAIR WITH THE TITLE PERFECT LIVIN'... RM1,680 BUT BIG DISCOUNTS MAKE THIS ITEM AFFORDABLE AT ONLY RM890 SIAPA CEPAT DIA DAPAT YO....

SPOTTED IN A LOCAL RENOVATIONS AND HOME ACCESSORIES GUIDE BOOK
NOTICE IS THE SAME DISTRIBUTOR: "ALFO".

BEHOLD! A screenshot of the ALFO website:

Standard look for corporate websites in Malaysia hor? Got people receiving awards or stuff (in this case, a very 90s-hotel looking table lamp), poor logos, horrible navigational buttons, Datuks in batik...

KEPALA PECAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I seriously wonder what the salesmen from Alfo would say about the rip-off... I can imagine these words used to lure the rich customers:

"Veli special design... veli modern... new look... special construction... see, inside is chandelier, but outside got moden treatment, wrap in cloth, like kuih... if u buy dis, sure many come yr mansion will b amaze... never see dis type of new desin before... young people like dis look now..."

NEW LABEL: "LANSKAP URBAN"

Your friendly authors from UGLY MALAYSIANA decided it is time to debut the new label: LANSKAP URBAN
(Malaysian Malay for "Urban Landscape")

These posts will focus on seemingly mundane everyday elements that make up the city's visual fabric — in this case (above) a toll both payment panel/wall — that, when analysed briefly — has been tainted and defiled by disrespect, or a dubious design sense (e.g. new office blocks, cinapek home renovations, etc), or simply by a tidak apa attitude.

Comment on the picture:
1. DISRESPECT One should not just simply advertise their businesses this way... My advice for anyone who has done this: why not stick 5,000 of such stickers on your car instead? Your car, your property. This one, public property. The non-bribery-because-they-are-paid-well cops in Singapore will arrest you liao if you stick stick liddis in SG!

2. TIDAK APA These stickers should be removed by the management of the toll booth. The red wall should be repainted, or at least cleaned of the leftover gunk — HOW UNSIGHTLY THIS IS! How to be First World???

3. DUBIOUS The Kadar Toll info sheet should not be an A4 glossy sticker set in ARIAL/HELVETICA. (The PLUS highway punya toll is better in this sense). Is it lack of finances that make these things so 'chin chai' looking? Then mebbe you should not be korrupt lor.

The author of UGLY MALAYSIANA is reminded of a shocking 'design' encounter during his inaugural visit to KLCC Aquaria. To his dismay — all the information displays for the animals were bubble-jet printed ON NORMAL A4 PAPER FEATURING NONE OTHER THAN TIMES NEW ROMAN AND LOW-RES IMAGES, STUCK ON THE FANCY WALL/GLASS CLADDINGS WITH ONLY CELLOPHANE TAPE, NOT EVEN ENCLOSED IN ACRYLIC STANDS.

How very unprofessional
for such a National Attraction!

SMALLPRINT:
THESE THINGS DO MAKE A CITY A BIT MORE INTERESTING SOMETIMES TOO.
TIDAK STERIL SANGAT, KAN?

Semua orang kat negara ini memang WINNER

Adalah belang-belang, titik-titik, dan print bertemakan "smell the flowers". Ah politik... harumnya!!!
